SUMMARY:Modern Calligraphy for Beginners (18+)
DESCRIPTION:Join Sip & Script® and Learning Modern Calligraphy!\nJoin us at Medici in Providence\, Rhode Island for pretty lettering for beginners! Whether you’re treating mom to a creative night out\, looking for the perfect mother-daughter activity\, or just want to learn a beautiful new skill\, you’ll be introduced to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink in this workshop. We will cover all the basics and prepare you to add those unique lettered details to handwritten cards for mom\, personalized gift tags\, home decor\, and more! The perfect gift to honor all the moms in your life! \nClass includes 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration\, our beginner’s calligraphy kit (two nibs\, black ink pot\, 2 letter guides\, tracing paper and straight pen holder)\, and all materials to write on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the workshop! We will also be lettering on a small terracotta pot at the end of class as a keepsake of our time together!  \nGet your tickets below! \nFeel free to come early\, grab your seat\, and purchase food and drinks (food and drinks available to purchase throughout and after class too!).  Class will start promptly at 6:30 PM! Keep the night going after class to celebrate your new skill and enjoy Friday night DJ entertainment! \nClass Expectations: Yes\, lefties are welcome too! This class is encouraged for someone who has never taken a calligraphy class before. We teach the basics and our expectation for you is to have ink flowing through your nib with enough confidence to be able to practice way beyond class. We love using tracing paper with our guides to help you build muscle memory and develop your own style!  If you have tried calligraphy out before\, this class will be a great refresher and hopefully a chance to try some new supplies from our beginner kit that will re-introduce you to this lovely form of art! \nA note on bringing guests under 18: While we love sharing this passion with children\, this class is for aged 18+ attendees only.
